Create Your First Course in 5 Minutes

This guide will walk you through creating a complete course from scratch. By the end, you'll have a published course ready for students.

Prerequisites

  • A Caring CourseForge account (free tier works fine)
  • A basic idea of what you want to teach

Create Your Account

If you haven't already, create your free Caring CourseForge account.

  1. Go to the sign up page
  2. Enter your email and create a password
  3. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox
  4. Complete your profile (name, organization, etc.)

Tip:Use your work email if you're creating courses for your organization. This makes it easier to collaborate with teammates later.

Create a New Course

Now let's create your first course.

  1. From your dashboard, click the "New Course" button
  2. Enter a course title (e.g., "Introduction to Web Development")
  3. Add a brief description of what students will learn
  4. Select a difficulty level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)
  5. Click "Create Course"

Description: Learn JavaScript fundamentals including variables, functions, and DOM manipulation

Add Course Content

Use AI to generate your course structure, or build it manually.

AI-Assisted (Recommended)

  1. Click "Generate with AI"
  2. Enter learning objectives
  3. Review generated structure
  4. Make any adjustments

Manual Creation

  1. Click "Add Module"
  2. Name your module
  3. Add lessons to module
  4. Add content blocks

Pro Tip:Start with AI generation to get a solid structure, then customize it to match your teaching style.

Preview Your Course

Before publishing, preview your course to see how students will experience it.

  1. Click the "Preview" button in the top right
  2. Navigate through your course as a student would
  3. Check formatting, images, and videos
  4. Test any quizzes or interactive elements
  5. Make any final adjustments in the editor

Publish Your Course

You're ready to publish! Make your course available to students.

  1. Click "Publish Course"
  2. Choose your publishing options (public, private, or password-protected)
  3. Set enrollment options if needed
  4. Click "Confirm & Publish"

Your course is now live! Share the link with your students or export it to your LMS.
